Washing machine issues are often caused by an overloaded drum, blocked filter, closed water valve or interrupted cycle. A few careful checks can help avoid damage and make a repair report clearer.
If the machine is leaking, smells of burning, trips the electrics or will not unlock safely, stop using it and contact 2let2.
Check the basics
Make sure the plug is on, the door is fully closed, the load is not too heavy, and the selected programme has actually started. Some machines pause if the drum is unbalanced.
If there is an error code, take a photo before switching the machine off. Check the water supply valve behind or beside the machine only if it is easy to reach safely.
Drain safely
If water is stuck in the drum, do not force the door. Many machines have a small drain hose or filter flap near the bottom front. Use towels and a shallow tray before opening anything.
Drain slowly, clean obvious lint or small items from the filter if accessible, and secure the filter again before testing. Stop if water escapes quickly or the fitting will not close cleanly.
Report a fault
Report leaks, burning smells, repeated failure to drain, spinning problems, loud banging, damaged seals, door lock issues or recurring error codes.
Include the make and model if visible, what programme was running, whether the machine contains water, and whether any error code appears.
